Lys-Pro-Val (α-MSH fragment) · not tier-graded · Preclinical evidence
A tiny anti-inflammatory fragment of a natural hormone, mostly discussed for gut inflammation. Mouse data only.
Dr. Tatem’s take
Not given a tier grade. In his deep dive: strong animal data but “ZERO human clinical trials”. He suggests oral for gut issues and injection for whole-body effects.
Benefits
- Reduced colitis in mice.
- Taken up directly by gut cells (PepT1 transporter), so oral use is plausible.
Risks
- Unknown in humans.
Dosing protocols (informational, labeled by evidence)
- Physician / clinic: Practitioner oral protocol — 200 mcg, Oral, Daily, Varies
- Community (bro science): Community subQ — 200–500 mcg, SubQ, Daily, 4–8 wk
Status: Not approved. FDA advisers voted 8–6–1 in July 2026 to allow compounding (wound healing and inflammation). Rulemaking is pending.
